Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

There are Mexican restaurants, and then there is Los Aztecas. Living in California, I have been to SO MANY Mexican places, and I would put this one right up there with them! A friend of mine treated me to a meal here, and as soon as I stepped inside the restaurant I knew it was going to be the experience of a lifetime. To no surprise, I was right; my chicken fajitas tasted like the physical embodiment of heaven! The meat was juicy, tender, and perfectly crisp. The refried beans, sour cream, pico de gallo, Spanish rice, and guacamole were the perfect complement. After our meal, I was really wishing I wore sweatpants instead of jeans, but I pushed through my food coma to try the flan! Oh. My. Goodness. Words cannot describe how creamy, rich, and flavorful it was! I legitimately died and came back to life! Thank you Los Aztecas, you made my trip SO MUCH BETTER! 15/10, will visit again!

Aw man. Not impressed had the mucho grande burrito. Seasoned Chicken inside a thick burrito topped with a tomato sauce that tasted like it came from can and cheese. Also had a side a refried beans. Nothing special. Not much more than Taco Bell, other than they serve beer Service was great. Food lacks flavor, sorry

We love coming here. Very authentic atmosphere and food ( And we go to Mexico a lot). Great Margarita's and well priced, too. My grandson tried the horchata and gave it a thumbs-up. We have tried many of BC's Mexican restaurants and like this the best so far. Muy delisioso!

The chips and salsa are a great here. The salsa isn't the plain tomato salsa you get everywhere else as it has an orange tint to it and it seems they added some spices to it. I had the Grande Burrito that was filled with cheap steak. Not much sauce or cheese on this burrito. I had to use the lettuce and tomatoes that came on the side of the plate to give it some flavor. I will pass on this the next time I go there as it wasn't very good.

Wait time to be seated: excellent Wait staff: good Food wait time: poor Food quality: poor Went with my family of four. Waited 45 minutes for 2 cold burritos that were small with nothing else on the plates, a plate of fajitas that were bland, and a burrito that was warm with lots of beans and rice but very little meat and it was bland as well. For better "Mexican" food, go to Taco Bell.

When we are in the mood for Mexican, and don't feel like eating the typical commercial fare of Don Pablo's, this is our choice. Good fresh salada and chips, pretty decent atmosphere. The food is good, not great. The price is extremely reasonable. We have had good service.

What a joke. $13 for veggie fajitas that are literally steamed veggies from a bag put on top of a skillet. But I guess that's what you get from a joint located next door to Gordon's Food Service. Cheap crap that barely passes as food, let alone Mexican cuisine.

Great food. Great staff. All and all a nice experience every time. I love the steak fajitas and the steak tacos.

Salads are good, drinks are GREAT! Service is friendly, large portions & if you're lucky you can even watch the game. Love the decor, very colorful.

I went here after they first opened a few months ago. It is located near Meijer on Beckley Road in Battle Creek. While I am a lover of Mexican food, this food was very average. It seemed more like a Don Pablos style of cooking rather than authentic Mexican food. I will need to check this out again in a few months to see if the food taste improves.

Very institutional tasting food. The only redeeming factor was they serve drinks and the salsa was good.
